Do it Yourself Brazilian Wax
If you just take a simple look at Ebay you’ll find that there are many companies that now sell
Brazilian Wax Kits which is supposed to be the DIY solution to the perfect Brazilian Wax Job.
I must say that I don’t agree with this as giving a Brazilian Wax isn’t as simple as just
putting on wax and ripping. There is more of and art to it than anything else. The art is to get as much hair with the least amount of
pain.
The first point that I’d like to bring up is the additional pain that you will put yourself
through if you decide to do a Do It Yourself Brazilian Wax Job. As mentioned earlier, a person that has been trained to do a Bikini Waxing and
Brazilian Waxing will know how to manipulate the wax and hair so that the least amount of skin is pulled and most of the hair is removed. Most
people don’t know this fine skill. As a result these “cheap” people will buy a DIY Brazilian Wax kit and put themselves through unnecessary
amounts of pain just to save a few dollars.
The next point that I’d like to raise is regarding the completeness of the Brazilian Wax. If
you decide to do a Do-It-Yourself Brazilian Wax, you have to either accept the compromise of it not being 100% perfect of you will need to take
hours upon hours of going over your bikini area with a fine tweezer. Put simply, an untrained Brazilian waxer such as a DIY job will leave a lot
of stray hairs that will need to be taken care of. Even the best Brazilian Wax technician can’t remove all the hair all the time. Rather they’ll
remove most of it so the time taken using the tweezer is reduced dramatically. Unprofessional Brazilian Wax jobs will result in almost too many
stray hairs which are extremely troublesome to remove. The fact is that most people that attempt it will never most of the hair removed and
result in either spending hours cleaning up the mess or just resorting to the trusty razor.
On top of that, most of the time, DIY products aren’t as good as salon products. Most of the
time the wax used is quite inferior when compared to salon types. This in part also contributes to the terrible job people do at Do-it-Yourself
Brazilian Wax jobs. The consistency of melted wax should be caramel like and not runny, the color should be a caramel brown and not have any
smell other than that of wax. Most Do-it-Yourself Brazilian Wax products have waxes that are mixed with other cheaper chemicals so make up volume
however just can’t do a very clean job.
Last but definitely not least, a Brazilian Wax Job that isn’t done professionally is also quite
dangerous. Many people don’t quite understand that the when doing a Brazilian Wax, the skin is also pulled and is subjected to quite a bit of
stress too. Most people don’t know that if a patch of skin is already subjected to a waxing, that area should not be waxed again just to remove
some extra bits of hair. It puts unnecessary amounts of stress on the skin and will sometimes cause tears and bleeding. Even using the wrong
waxes and pulling in the wrong direction can also cause injury.
All in all I would recommend that you always go for a professionally done Brazilian Wax. The
price in terms of pain, potential injury and time just isn’t worth the few dollars and the embarrassment of letting someone see your
privates.
