Cost of Brazilian Wax
The first thing that you have to understand about Brazilian Wax Treatments is that, as with any other type of beauty treatment the price varies quite substantially between different spas and salons.
Generally the price is indicative of the level of service rendered and also indicative of the result quality. Generally the price of a Brazilian Wax will range from USD20.00 for a cheap “shoddy” job to over USD200.00 for a top class salon with a history of great results.
Personally I would always recommend that you take the pricier option. The first and most important factor to support this option is that the treatment is quite painful. A skilled technician can reduce the pain by pulling at the right angles and make wax mixtures that don’t bind to the skin as much as hair. This fact alone is significant enough for most people to levitate towards the pricier options.
The second reason which should be the most obvious is that with pricier options you should get a better job. By a better job I mean that you will have an almost baby-like undercarriage again with no stray hairs at all. Naturally the main purpose of a Brazilian Wax is to get the hair off, the worst thing you can have is people noticing a few wrinkly hairs from the privates sticking out of your bikini or panties. The high-end pricier spas will actually detail your privates after the waxing is done. The detailing normally involves using tweezers to remove any extra hairs that might have missed the waxing.
Lastly I also wouldn’t suggest going for the cheaper options because it can be quite dangerous. Although Brazilian Waxing doesn’t seem to be dangerous on the surface, it actually can cause skin issues and hair follicle damage. If you don’t pull properly there is a chance that you might cause damage to the hair follicles and also cause unnecessary stress on the skin causing it to stretch and sometimes even tear. This in-part also is the result of using poor quality wax which binds to the skin. Once again, the salons with pricier options almost always mix the wax right so that skin isn’t lifted, rather hair is lifted.
Needless to say, if you have read my other articles, you will know that any D-I-Y Brazilian Wax Job just isn’t acceptable so buying Brazilian Wax kits are just out of the question. My general advise regarding the matter is to just spend what you can and always opt for the pricier option as it almost always guarantees a better result.
